Accepting a Contract

When a client offers you a contract on Worksome, you will need to review and accept it before work can begin. This article explains the process, including how to accept contract changes and what to do if you cannot accept.

How to Accept a New Contract

  1. You will receive a notification (email and/or in-platform) when a client offers you a contract.

  2. Go to the Hire page for the contract. You can find it via the notification link or from your My Contracts page.

  3. Review the contract details: job title, rate, dates, scope of work, and payment terms.

  4. Click Accept to confirm the contract.

Accepting Contract Changes

If your client updates the terms of your contract (such as rate, dates, or scope), you will be able to review and accept the changes from the Hire page. You will see a notification that contract changes are pending your review.

  1. Go to the Hire page for the contract.

  2. Review the updated terms highlighted on the page.

  3. Click Accept to confirm the new terms.

You can now accept contract changes even if you have already accepted the original contract.

Troubleshooting: I Cannot Accept My Contract

Onboarding not complete

Worksome requires you to complete your client onboarding before you can accept a hire. If the Accept button is not available or you are being redirected, check your Clients page from the left sidebar. You may need to complete the following:

  • Set up your business entity (company type, registration details)

  • Add valid bank details for receiving payments

  • Complete any required tax forms or documents

  • Fill in any custom fields required by the client

Once all onboarding steps are marked as complete, you will be able to accept the contract from the Hire page.

Accept button is greyed out or missing

This may happen if:

  • Your client onboarding is incomplete (see above).

  • The contract has been withdrawn or terminated by the client.

  • There is a compliance requirement that needs to be completed first by your client

  • Your client hasn't accepted the status determination statement from worksome classify yet (wait for your client to complete these)

  • Your client hasn't completed all internal approvals yet (wait for your client to complete these)

If none of these apply, contact Worksome support for assistance.
