What is Worksome?

Worksome is an External Workforce Management System, facilitating collaboration between hiring companies, staffing agencies, recruiters and external workers.

What does this mean for you as a staffing agent?

It means you can continue to work with your clients as you always have, but all contracts, payment of external workers and your fees will be managed via the Worksome platform. You can track ownership and fees on all your placements, and Worksome ensures you will always be paid on time and according to your agreement with each individual client.

What do I need to do?

Create an account. You will be invited by your client (via email) to create a Worksome Staffing agent account, so just check your emails and click on the link to register your account.

How many of your staffing agency consultants can have a Worksome account?

There’s no limit. Whichever consultants work directly with your clients using Worksome, and your finance team, should have an account. You have a ‘Teams’ feature, so can invite as many of your team to your Worksome staffing agency account as you like.

Where are my staffing agency’s terms?

In your account you’ll see your fee (%) and candidate ownership (days/months) in your Client list:

Who sets the terms?

They are based on your terms with your clients. Your fee (%) and candidate ownership (days/months) is set in the Worksome platform by the client. Please speak directly to your client to negotiate/clarify if different from what you understood.

Is there a contract involved?

Managing Workers: If you are responsible for managing the workers/placements within the platform, then you as the staffing agency will be listed as one of the contracting parties (the other typically being the client). The worker can be referenced in the booking contract , but only as the worker represented by the staffing agency. You will then be responsible to review and accept the contract within the Worksome platform (under "placements" tab) for the assignment to begin.

Non-Management of Workers: If you are not responsible for managing the workers on the platform, the worker will receive the contract directly through their profile/account in Worksome to review and accept. Your agency will be recognized in the system for placing that particular hire on the job.

Additionally, clients may ask you to sign a recruiter agreement outside of the Worksome platform.

How do I get my fee/payment?

Worksome will pay you, as agreed in-platform with your clients. Once a worker's timesheet and/or payment request has been approved, you will receive an email notification when Worksome has processed the payment to your bank account. Additionally, you can track the progress of your payment request through the "payment request" tab and view your payouts in the "transactions" tab.

Managing Workers: If you're managing the workers, when you get paid depends on the client payment terms with Worksome and your staffing agency. Depending on the client you work with, there can be some cases where you will be generating payment requests on behalf of the worker. Specific workflows will be outlined in your training session.

Non-Management of Workers: If you do not manage the workers, then when you get paid depends on the client’s payment terms with Worksome and the worker. In other words, when your placement is paid, so are you!

So do I need to invoice?

The platform self-generates an invoice for you, based on the relevant contract, so you can keep it for your records. Refer to the section titled "How do I get my fee/payment?" for information on the requirements and your onboarding training, which may include specific workflows depending on the client.

Does this affect my permanent placements?

No. Worksome is an external workforce management platform - our focus is managing flexible workforces- your permanent hiring relationships are unaffected by clients choosing to run external workers via the platform

What about temp to perm hires? Do I get a fee?

Temp to perm fees (Transfer Fees) are at the discretion of your agency and the client to negotiate directly.

How do I start?

It’s easy. All you need to do is follow the invitation from any clients who manage their external workers and staffing agencies with Worksome.
