How to pay with a credit card

Once you have approved your worker's bill, an invoice will be generated. We provide two ways for you to settle the payment: you can choose to "pay via bank and invoice" (paying via electronic transfer from your bank to Worksome's) or by credit card.

Enabling the credit card payment option

Payment by credit card is only possible if the setting has been enabled for your company. This can be found under Hiring settings > Payment settings.

Most companies restrict team members to pay by credit card and rather opt for all invoices to be paid by the Finance team, for spending oversight and security reasons. For more information, see the related article: ➡️ Payment and invoicing.


In the case where credit card has not been enabled on your company account, the following will appear on the bill.

If however payment via credit card has been enabled, Worksome will first need to verify your company account before the option becomes available to use in the platform - please reach out to us to find out more. If this is the case you will see an alert appear on the bill.

Why is there an additional fee?

There is always a fee associated with a credit card payment. We will clearly show this to you at the top of the bill. Please not that Worksome does not make any profits off this fee and that we only carry over the cost we get charged from the from our payment-processor providers.

What is 3D Secure?

The last step of your payment (once you've selected "Pay now") will be to complete the 3D Secure check. For this, you will need to provide a password associated with the card you are using, or a code sent to your cellphone. This will differ per bank. If the verification is successful, the payment is completed. If the verification fails, you will be asked to select another form of payment which, in our case, is to pay via bank.

The option to "pay via bank and invoice" will always be available and does not require any set up.

Irrespective of the method selected, as soon as Worksome has received the payment, we will pay your external worker!
