Creating a payment request in Worksome is easy and fast, and this guide walks you through each step. From setting up your jobâs contract to sending the request and tracking its status, weâll cover everything you need to make sure your payment request is complete and ready for processing. Follow these steps to streamline your payment requests and stay on top of your earnings. đ
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Access the Job Conversation
Go to your Conversations and open the Conversation with your Client. Make sure you've got a contract offer & have accepted! â
Step 2: Click "Create New Payment Request"
Once youâve accepted the contract, youâll see a Create New Payment Request button available in the job. You can access this button directly from your dashboard or within the Job Conversation.
Step 3: Fill in your Payment Request Details
On the payment request screen, fill out a few key fields:
Billing Period: Enter the start and end dates for the period youâre billing.
Number of Hours/Days/Weeks: Enter the number of hours, days, or weeks worked, based on your contractâs billing rate (hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly). The total will auto-calculate using your agreed rate.
If you need to bill a different amount from your agreed rate, use the Specify Amount option.
Adding Overtime: If applicable, you can add overtime to your payment request. Hereâs how to add overtime pay.
Timesheet Requirements
If your client requests a timesheet, you can provide one in three ways:
Upload a file: For instance, a screenshot from your clientâs system.
Use the in-built timesheet: Worksomeâs timesheet is available for direct entry.
Text field: Simply type your timesheet details.
â
Step 4: Send Your Payment Request
Once youâve completed all fields and double-checked the total, click Send Payment Request. Your payment request will be visible in the Job Conversation, and you can track updates on your Payment Requests page. You can also download a copy of the request or the invoice by selecting the invoice number.
Getting Paid
Once your payment request is approved by the client, the payment requestâs due date will be visible on your Payment Request page. After Worksome receives payment from the client, the payout will be processed to your bank account, and youâll receive an email notification.
â
Note: It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right bank details saved in Worksome when your payment is due. If you want to check or update your bank details, you can do that in your bank details settings.
