When requesting payment in Worksome, you can log your working hours or days (depending on your payment terms) using various methods:

  • Embedded timesheets

  • Uploaded documents, such as your or your client’s timesheet

  • Comments for extra context

  • Specifying the total amount to invoice

This article explains how to add time using the embedded timesheet feature in Worksome.

Navigate to the Payment Requests Page:

  • Hit the Request Payment button.

  • Choose the relevant job for which you need to create a payment request from the dropdown menu.

The page lists various job titles, clients, invoice references, and the amounts associated with each job. A highlighted "Request payment" button is positioned on the right side, indicating where users can initiate a payment request. Additionally, a "How to get paid?" link is displayed to provide further assistance.

Set Your Work Timeframe:

  • Once on the payment request page, input the timeframe during which you worked on the job or contract.

This is the calendar function displayed whenever you open a payment request. It is important that the dates chose in this calendar cover the date specified in the worker's contract.

Access the Timesheet Section:

  • In the timesheet section, select the timesheet option and click on the 'Create Timesheet' button. This action will open a new pop-up window.

Users can see an input area to specify the amount, with details such as the rate (e.g., DKK 500.00/day) and applicable VAT shown above. The section highlights a dropdown labeled "Timesheet" and a "+ Create timesheet" button, which is emphasized, showing where users can create and add their timesheet entries.

Fill Out the Timesheet:

  • The pop-up will display the weeks you previously selected in the calendar.

  • Enter your working hours or days in the available white input boxes, based on your contract rate (hours or days).

  • When entering your time in hours, the clock used (12 or 24 hour) will follow what your device is set to. If using the 12 hour clock please ensure you add in am or pm (eg. 12:00 pm)

At the top, the title "Timesheet" is displayed, along with the project role and billing period details. The interface highlights a weekly breakdown from Monday to Sunday, with input fields for each day to record the number of hours worked. In this example, only Friday shows a logged entry of "1," while all other days have "0." Below each entry, there is an icon indicating the option to add comments. At the bottom, the total billable time for the week is summarized, and there are "Save" and "Cancel" buttons to submit or discard the time entry.

  • Once you add all the hours you need to get paid for, hit save. You will then be able to see:
