Make a contract through Worksome
When you make a bid for a job or sign a contract with a company, it must be done through Worksome. In cases where you have had a conversation, and possibly a negotiation, outside of Worksome (e.g. via mail or telephone) then make sure to create a bid in Worksome so that the company can accept the bid and the terms of the agreement. We advise contractors not to start working before the contract and bid has been accepted.
Receive payment through Worksome
All payments and billing should go through Worksome. When you want to create a new bill for a job in Worksome, you can do this in the conversation between you and the company on Worksome. Once the bill is created we will automatically generate an invoice to your client - this way you don’t have to think about invoices and collecting money. In case a customer suggests paying you directly outside of Worksome simply reject this and let us know immediately. You can do this by clicking on the green chat icon in the lower right corner.
Keep your promises
When you accept a job through Worksome, it is important that you live up to the contract and deliver on what you have agreed upon. Therefore, make sure everyone is clear on deliverables, deadlines, etc., before accepting the contract and start working. Do not send bids on jobs for which you are not qualified.
Bid only on behalf of yourself
You are not allowed to bid on behalf of a company or on behalf of others. Only bid on jobs with your own skills and on behalf of yourself. Therefore, your profile text should also solely reflect your own skills and abilities.
Spam and harassment
Your bids and your conversations with companies must be relevant and personal. Customize your applications for each job as it leaves a much better impression on potential customers and increases your chances of getting the job done. If you just copy-paste the same message and send it out to many different companies, it will be considered spam.
If the above rules are not complied with, your account will be suspended without notice.
