The Worksome platform refers to freelancer, contingent worker, and independent contractor agreements as a “Booking Contract.” The default Booking Contract is between a company and worker. It is automatically generated in our platform when a worker accepts a booking on the platform. You can find our default Booking Contract and lots of other useful legal resources in our Legal Center. In this guide, we will show you all the ways that you can customize our contract to fit your business.

1. You can upload documents inside your account, and mark them as "Default on contracts". This could for example be an NDA or a billing/timesheet guide. Those documents will be added as addendums to the contract and all external workers need to approve of them before accepting the contract. Your dedicated contact at Worksome will help you to set this up. See screenshots below:

2. When you hire one of your external workers, you will need to add the below details about the job. This will then visible on the first page of the contract. In this step, you should include all information that you would typically add to a Statement of Work (SOW), such as Job Description (deliverables), Job Title, Contract Period, Rate, etc.

Please see screenshots below on the hire-flow and what it then looks like inside the contract.

At the bottom of this contract, you will be able to see the workers signature and the date when the worker accepted the contract.

3. Payment terms, address and billing address, logo and business entity settings will be taken from whatever you have provided inside your company settings and can be changed by an admin in your account at any time, and will reflect on future contracts. https://use.worksome.com/profile/edit

If you are paying to use Worksome Prepay (which is an amazing service where Worksome will pay your workers way quicker than you pay Worksome), and want to change any dates relating to that: Please reach out to your dedicated Worksome contact as that is not customisable within your settings.

4. You are able to request and make changes to a contract. This can be done immediately after inviting the external worker to the job and/or after the contract has been accepted. You can click on "advanced fields" and add custom terms as an example. This can hold an unlimited amount of characters. Follow this step by step guide or check out the below screenshots:

5. Everything that is discussed and agreed within the conversation about the job/contract in the platform, is also linked to inside the contract.
