This guide walks you through the essentials of getting paid in Worksome, from finding payment terms in your contract to tracking your payment request status. You’ll also find details on how often payments can be set up, typical times for funds to reach your account, and the steps Worksome takes if a payment is delayed. With this guide, staying on top of your payment timelines is straightforward and stress-free!

How many days do I need to wait?

You will be able to find the payment terms in the contract that you have with the client. This is an example of a contract where you can see where you can find the details that are unique for you and your client:

This is the page with the overview of the contract details where the payment terms are specified. On this contract overview, you can see the job title, the timeframe, the PO number, Job Rate, Job location preference, address/workplace, job description and scope of services and the payment terms. In this image, the payment terms have been highlighted.

Tracking the status of your payment request

Once you create and save a payment request, you can find the status journey in two different places:

  • In the conversation with your client

  • By selecting the status of the payment request within the Payment Request page

Example - Payment requests status:

How often will I get paid?

You get paid depending on how often you submit payment requests. You can be paid:

  • weekly

  • monthly

  • the end of the project

Do note that you need to agree with your client on how often you will submit payment requests.

How long will it take to receive the funds in my bank account?

Please note that we send a notification email with your payslip earlier in the day. While this email indicates the funds have been sent, they may take a few hours to appear in your account. Your payment will hit your bank account based on the type of transfer we will process for you:

Type of transfer

Number of days

For Domestic Bank Transfers

Same day, between 3-5pm OR the morning of the following day

For International Bank Transfers

1 to 4 days

Note

In the unlikely event that your payment is late because your client hasn't paid Worksome yet, we will follow our payment reminder flow, and formal reminders will be sent to your client. You can follow the status and see on what day a reminder was sent on the status page of every bill.
